Solo Festival Video Instructions

HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN 

THE SOLO FESTIVAL TOMORROW!

PREPARE A VIDEO:

1. Dress in Sunday Best/Performance dress

2. Announce Student name, piece(s) and composer(s)

3. Play & Record both pieces in the same recording. Use your accompanist if they are in your family, otherwise, you may play without an accompanist.

**You do not need to wait in between pieces 

4. Cell-phone/Ipad quality video is acceptable. You do not need any special equipment.

5. Student videos should include both audio and video and be filmed at an angle to show important elements of posture.

6. Submit your video on/before your original performance time. For example, if you were scheduled to perform at 9:15 am, make sure your video is uploaded by 9:15 am. Judges will be standing by ready to judge each session.

Once the video has been recorded, follow these steps to upload:

IT WILL TAKE UP TO 20 MINUTES FOR YOUR VIDEO TO UPLOAD 

1. From any browser on your phone/device, go to WeTransfer.com

2. Click "Send a file."

3. Click the + sign to add your file.

4. Navigate to the file location on your phone/device (example: photo library). Select the file(s) to upload and click "done" in the top right corner.

5. In the "Message" field, type in your child's name and performance time. For example, Mary Smith 9:15 am. Please send 1 transfer per student with both pieces attached.

6. Click Next.

7. Keep "Send an email" selected, Click Next.

8. Email to UtValleyFed@gmail.com

9. Enter your email address in the box below.  Click Transfer.

Once we have downloaded the file, you will be sent an email confirmation. Please note that files will be deleted once they have been adjudicated.

Technical support will be available on federation day after 8 am by reaching out to Ali at 801-427-0163.

Judges will be in Lehi ready to listen to your performance! You will receive your certificate and judging sheets from your teacher.
