SAU Virtual Concert 2020 Info

Utah County Virtual Concert Activity 2020

A video of Lightly Row Variations and Ashokan Farewell featuring our Utah County Suzuki violin and viola students will be launched during the month of September on our Utah County Suzuki YouTube page for all to enjoy!

Students will record themselves at their own homes with a track and instructions provided by our producers, Miles Fulwider and Andrew Glasmacher, of the audio postproduction company Puzzle Kitchen.  Their work has premiered on many networks including CNN, MTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, TBS, Discovery, CMT, BBC, and Nickjr. Andrew and Miles will send out a PDF with a video tutorial to walk students through the recording process in July.

Each student must submit a release form. Please bring them to me at out July 1 group, or have them in the mail by July 1.

Each student will submit one video by August 22 (unless they are advanced students who have been assigned to participate in the Lightly Row video as well to “sweeten” the recording).

Please pay the $10 participation fee per student by on or before July 1. My Venmo is @lindawduncan.

What to wear for the video:
If you play Lightly Row Variations and are in Books 1, 2 or 3 wear a “jewel tone” (deep “fall” color) top.
Boys: Polo shirts or collared shirts and dark pants.
Girls: Solid colored blouses or polo shirts with a dark skirt or pants, or solid colored dresses.
PLEASE, NO T-SHIRTS, GRAPHICS, STRIPES OR PATTERNS!!!!!

If you are in Book 4 or above and play Ashokan Farewell, wear a Red White or Blue solid collared shirt or polo shirt with dark pants or a skirt. Girls may also wear a solid red white or blue dress.
PLEASE, NO T-SHIRTS, GRAPHICS, STRIPES OR PATTERNS!!!!!

Since this video will be posted for a very long time let's have our students look their best. Wear cute dresses, nice blouses or polo shirts. Please wear shoes!

Music for this project will be distributed on July 1 at our group lesson or emailed to you on July 2 if you could not attend.

This will be an amazing experience for our students! I’m so happy to be a part of it.
